R-Tracker GPS
Terms of Service
Last updated: October 14, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and R-Tracker GPS for every installation service, GPS tracking device and tracking plan we provide. Part 1 covers installation services, Part 2 covers trackers and the tracking service, and Part 3 applies to both. See also our Privacy Policy.
Part 1 — Installation Services · Part 2 — GPS Trackers and Tracking Service · Part 3 — General terms (both parts)
TH Techno Services LLC, doing business as R-Tracker GPS ("R-Tracker", "we", "us") · Tampa, Florida · info@rtrackergps.com · (813) 460-6648
Part 1 — Installation Services
These terms apply to every installation, removal, repair or inspection job we perform ("Service"), whether booked on our website, by phone, text, email or through a partner. By booking, approving a quote, or signing our installation report, you ("Customer") agree to them.
1. Quotes and scope of work
- A quote covers only the work it describes: the vehicles, equipment and services listed.
- Work beyond the quote (for example a power reroute, a converter, or removing an old device) is quoted before we start it, and we only do it with your approval by text, email or signature.
- If you need more vehicles or services than booked, we add them on the same visit when our schedule allows; otherwise we book a new visit.
- A trip fee may apply outside our base service area. It is shown on your quote or invoice.
- Prices for customer-supplied equipment or other brands may differ from prices for R-Tracker equipment.
2. Vehicle and equipment readiness
The Customer agrees to:
- Have each vehicle, its keys and an authorized contact available at the appointment time.
- Park vehicles far enough apart that both front doors open fully, in a safe, level place with GPS and cellular reception, so we can test the installation.
- Provide a safe working environment. For fleet jobs, provide a covered area in bad weather and tell us in writing before the visit about any site rules or required safety equipment.
- Have the equipment ready on arrival when the job uses customer-supplied equipment. We do not take customer equipment off site.
- Tell us about known issues: warning lights, electrical problems, aftermarket alarms or remote starters, recent accidents, weak battery.
- Confirm that you own each vehicle or are authorized by its owner to have equipment installed or removed. You confirm this when you sign our installation report.
3. Waiting time, no-shows and vehicles not presented
- If our technician waits more than 30 minutes for vehicles, keys or equipment, waiting time may be charged at $35 per 30 minutes.
- If no vehicle is available within 30 minutes of arrival, the visit counts as a no-show and may be charged $75 plus any trip fee.
- Vehicles booked but not presented are not discounted from the visit. They can be installed on a new visit.
- We document waiting time and no-shows with time-stamped photos.
4. Rescheduling and cancellation
- You may cancel or reschedule at no charge up to 24 hours before the appointment.
- Cancellations or changes with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged 100% of the booked services.
- Rescheduling because of severe weather, a medical emergency or another event outside anyone's control is free for both sides.
5. Pre-existing conditions
- Before work we may photograph the dashboard, odometer, warning lights and work area. These photos are part of the installation record.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, corroded or modified wiring, or faults that existed before our visit.
- If a condition makes the installation unsafe, we may stop the job. Time already spent and the trip fee may still be charged.
6. Workmanship warranty
- We warrant our labor for 12 months from the installation date: if a connection we made fails, we fix it at no labor cost.
- Warranty visits are free inside our base service area. Outside it, the trip fee applies.
- The warranty is void for an installation we could not test because of no cellular service, missing keys or a vehicle in poor condition.
- The workmanship warranty does not cover the equipment itself (R-Tracker devices are covered under section 15; other brands by their manufacturer), tampering, work by anyone else after our visit, accidents, water damage, theft, or battery drain from settings the Customer chose (for example dash-cam parking mode).
- If a warranty visit finds a failed device, tampering or a blown fuse not caused by our work, the visit, trip fee and any parts are billable. We replace a blown fuse in our own circuit, but we do not inspect the vehicle's other circuits.
- Contact us first to use the warranty. We do not pay for work by other shops without our written approval.
7. Starter disable (immobilizer) use
- The starter disable must be activated only when the vehicle is parked with the ignition off. It is designed to prevent the next engine start, not to stop a moving vehicle.
- Blocking a vehicle that is in use can cause an accident or injure the person driving it. Use of this function is the Customer's sole responsibility and knowledge.
- R-Tracker is not liable for any damage, accident, injury or loss caused by improper or inappropriate use of the starter disable.
- If in doubt, contact R-Tracker before blocking a vehicle to confirm it is safe to do so.
- The Customer is also responsible for following any notice or consent rules for vehicles rented, leased or financed to others.
8. Customer-supplied equipment and subcontracted jobs
- When we install equipment we did not supply, we are responsible only for our installation work. Device defects, firmware, activation, coverage and platform problems belong to the equipment provider.
- We follow the equipment provider's installation guidelines. If you want a different installation method, tell us in writing before the visit.
- For jobs we perform on behalf of another company, that company's agreement with its own customer governs the service to that customer. Our signed installation report is our proof of work. Leftover equipment is documented and left with the person named in the report.
9. Damage claims
- Please inspect the vehicle before our technician leaves.
- Report any claim in writing within 7 days of the Service, with photos.
- Give us a reasonable chance to inspect and repair before anyone else works on the vehicle.
- Our total liability for any claim related to a Service is limited to the amount paid for that Service, except where Florida law does not allow this limit.
- We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost income, downtime, rental vehicles or lost data.
10. Payment
- Individuals: payment is due when the job is completed.
- New business customers and one-time jobs: payment is due when the job is completed. For large jobs (many vehicles or long-distance travel) we may require a 50% deposit to book.
- Business customers with an approved payment history: invoices are due Net 15. Other terms only by written agreement.
- Late balances may be charged 1.5% per month, or the highest rate allowed by law if lower, plus reasonable collection costs.
- Installation, trip fees, visits and other services already performed are not refundable.
- Equipment we supplied remains our property until paid in full.
- Invoice questions: info@rtrackergps.com.
11. Photos and records
We keep installation photos, VINs, device serial numbers and signatures as proof of work and to support warranty and fleet records. We do not sell this information.
12. Confidentiality (business customers)
Each party keeps the other's non-public business information (customer lists, pricing, vehicle data) confidential and uses it only to perform the Service.
Part 2 — GPS Trackers and Tracking Service
These terms apply to GPS tracking devices we sell or provide and to the tracking service: the app, web platform, alerts and data ("Tracking Service"). By signing up, paying, activating a device or using the app, you agree to them.
13. Plans and billing
- Monthly plan: billed monthly in advance, with a 12-month minimum term.
- Annual plan: billed once a year in advance.
- The first payment (first month or first year) is charged at signup.
- Automatic renewal: plans renew for the same period until cancelled. We send a reminder before each annual renewal. You can turn off renewal at any time in the billing portal or by email.
- Payment methods are managed in our secure billing portal. Taxes and fees may apply.
14. Cancellation and early termination
- Monthly plan: if you cancel before completing 12 paid months, you pay the remaining months of the minimum term or a $49 equipment fee, whichever is less. When the service ends, we deactivate the device and its data line.
- After the minimum term, the monthly plan continues month to month and can be cancelled with 30 days' notice.
- Annual plan: fully refundable within the first 30 days, minus the $49 equipment fee if a device was installed. No refunds for unused time after 30 days.
- Installation, trip fees and other services already performed are not refundable in any case.
15. Devices
- Hardwired device included with the plan ("FREE device"): provided on loan during the first 12 months of the subscription. After 12 paid months, it becomes the Customer's property. The data line (SIM) always remains R-Tracker's and is deactivated when the subscription ends.
- Purchased devices (e.g. OBD): become yours once paid in full.
- Device warranty for as long as your plan is active: if a device fails from a manufacturing defect while your plan is active, we replace the device at no cost.
- Hardwired replacement visits: during the first 12 months of the subscription, the replacement visit is free (the trip fee applies outside our base service area). After 12 months, the device is still free, and the visit is charged at our standard service rate (currently $70 per vehicle) plus the trip fee. The replacement may be performed by R-Tracker or by a technician we designate.
- OBD replacements: we ship a new device with a prepaid return label. The defective device must be returned within 30 days, or the price of one device ($49.90) will be charged.
- Not covered: physical or water damage, accidents, tampering, installation or repairs by others, and misuse.
- Returns (mail orders): unused devices in original packaging may be returned within 30 days for a refund of the device price, less shipping. If the device was activated, the first monthly payment is not refunded.
16. Lawful use and consent
- Track only vehicles or assets you own, lease or are legally authorized to track, and people who have consented where the law requires it.
- Florida law prohibits installing a tracking device or application on another person's property without consent (Fla. Stat. § 934.425). You agree to follow it and all other applicable laws.
- We may suspend accounts used for unlawful tracking and will respond to valid legal requests.
17. What tracking can and cannot do
- The Tracking Service depends on GPS satellites, cellular networks, vehicle power and third-party platforms. Positions can be delayed, inaccurate or unavailable (garages, rural areas, network outages, disconnected or damaged devices).
- It is not an emergency service, a monitored security service, a theft-recovery guarantee or insurance. We do not dispatch police and do not guarantee recovery of any vehicle.
- Maintenance or outages of the platform or networks may interrupt the service. Credits, if any, are at our discretion.
- The starter disable rules in section 7 also apply to devices bought or installed under Part 2.
18. Accounts and data
- You are responsible for your login and for activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Location and vehicle data is stored by our technology partner on servers that may be located outside the United States. We use it to provide the service and support you, and we do not sell it.
- Position history is kept for up to 6 months or 20,000 positions per device, whichever comes first; older positions are deleted automatically. History is available while the plan is active and may be deleted when the account ends.
- You can export your reports at any time. If you need records for longer, it is your responsibility to export and keep your own copies before they are deleted.
19. Non-payment, suspension and cancellation
- If a payment fails, we notify you and may suspend the Tracking Service after 10 days.
- Before cancelling, we email a final notice. After 30 days without payment, the account is cancelled automatically: the device and data line are deactivated and all account data is permanently deleted.
- Cancellation for non-payment does not erase what is owed: unpaid months and the early-termination amount in section 14 remain due.
- To use the service again after cancellation, a new signup is required (new activation and, if needed, a new installation).
20. Limitation of liability and indemnification
- Our total liability for any claim related to devices or the Tracking Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, except where Florida law does not allow this limit.
- We are not liable for indirect losses such as loss of a vehicle or cargo, lost income, downtime, fines or towing.
- You agree to defend and hold us harmless from third-party claims caused by your use of the service, including tracking without consent or misuse of a starter disable.
Part 3 — General terms (both parts)
- Changes: we may update these terms or plan prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Price changes do not apply during a prepaid period or a minimum term already in place. Each Service follows the version in effect when it was booked.
- Disputes: both parties will first try to resolve a dispute in good faith for 30 days after written notice.
- Governing law and venue: Florida law; state courts in Hillsborough County, Florida, or small-claims court where it applies.
- Severability: if a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- Entire agreement: these terms, your quote or order, and the signed installation report are the full agreement for the Service.
